The background information on each component is useful in determining whether I should reject certain components due to them being innovated in later periods than the Horus Heresy. There are some interesting supplemental components that can be repurposed for use in a Nurgle-worshipping vessel. There is also an ample choice of components that suit a warship. I want something that is smaller than a Battleship, and the Rogue Trader rules are perfect for that since the available hull sizes only go up as far as grand cruisers. The build follows some key principles which it is worth summarising here: The similarities are less coincidence, I feel, but rather speak to similar design choices being made by Chris Wraight and/or his Black Library support team. So although it looks remarkably similar in build to the Solace, mine is a completely independent construction. I've used the rules in the Rogue Trader role-playing game (and its supplements Into the Storm, Battlefleet Koronus, and Hostile Acquisitions) to construct a valid working vessel. It is a fully-outfitted Repulsive-class Grand Cruiser, armed for war and the worship of Nurgle. The Sic Transit is the starship used by Brother Vromikos and his warband to travel the stars.
